#JeSuisEd pokes fun at Sun’s front page and the infamous bacon snap

May 6, 2015 by Emma Woodley Leave a Comment

The hashtag #JeSuisEd has been labelled the top trend on Twitter following today’s front page of The Sun which was dominated by the infamous image of Miliband eating a bacon sandwich.

Following the front page, tweeters have been posting pictures of themselves eating bacon sandwiches in support (and jest) of the Labour leader.

The original picture was taken in May 2014 when Miliband was visiting various key areas during the local and European elections.

Months ago I tweeted this photo of me in solidarity with @Ed_Miliband – nothing has changed #JeSuisEd pic.twitter.com/G5jEvS5Xhh

It makes me laugh how the attempt of bullying by the media has backfired massively!! #JeSuisEd pic.twitter.com/VEP7DtMYDu
