Poole counting in chaos

May 8, 2015 by Hollie Wong Leave a Comment

Counting continues at the Poole Lighthouse as cuts to the counting system have caused chaos.

At the time of writing we are over an hour late with the declaration here in Poole and it looks like we have a long wait ahead.

Returning Officer Paul Morris explained that the dual counting of council and parliamentary votes is causing a major hold up with the process.

His latest estimates for the result are 4:45 for Poole and 5:30 for Mid Dorset and North Poole, but these are likely to be put back further as counts continue.

Reports will follow as and when we have information.
