Green Party retain their seat in Brighton Pavilion

Caroline Lucas has retained her seat in Brighton Pavillion to give the Green party its only seat of the 2015 election.

Lucas originally held the seat from the 2010 election.

Green count was 22,871

Conservative count was 12,448

Socialist Party of Great Britain count was 88

Labour count was 14,904

Independent Yeomans count was 116

UKIP count was 2724

This is her second term in the seat.

    Please learn how to use apostrophes. You are a journalist. Sorry to sound pedantic but there are so many ‘it’s’ these days when it should be ‘its’ and that’s ok unless one is writing an intelligent comment/article which you were. Thank you.
