As part of YourElection’s coverage, we’ve put together a group of undecided student voters to talk us through their thoughts in the lead up to the general election before making a decision on polling day.
This evening, we’ve got a brief introduction from each of our panelists who’ll talk you through why they’re yet to make up their minds.

I think the Conservative party are most likely to attract global business and strengthen the economy but I admire the humanitarian ethics of the Green Party the most of all the parties.

Politics
I am undecided because idealistically I like Greens, I prefer Labour to the Tories, and despite his infamous ‘broken promise’, I rate Nick Clegg most highly out of the leaders.

As of yet I am undecided on which party to vote for as none of them have so far convinced me that they are the party to lead our country forward. One or two have managed to convince me that they are certainly not!

None of the parties have so far done enough to encourage me to vote for them – they mostly seem to undervalue the student vote. Although the Greens have impressed me in this area, I probably won’t vote for them because they are unlikely to be able to affect decision making.

I have never had a strong interest in politics but have forced myself to pay attention to this election. I believe that issues surrounding mental health are undervalued so the Liberal Democrats’ proposals to increase spending impressed me, but I am wary of voting for them after they broke their promise on tuition fees.

I am torn between tactically voting to block one party out of my constituency or to vote for the candidate who I would most like to see represent me in Parliament, but who has less chance of winning the seat.

As a student I feel I should be voting for the Green Party to abolish tuition fees. However I don’t see how this would actually be possible without problems in another sector. I think I tend to agree with more of Labour’s policies but I don’t feel confident in voting for Ed Miliband.

I’m an undecided leftie, torn between the Greens and Labour. Natalie Bennett’s party’s policies appeal to me more on the whole, but I still agree with most of what Labour have to say and would like Ed Miliband to be Prime Minister.
