Nick Clegg clings onto Sheffield Hallam seat

Nick Clegg has held onto his Sheffield Hallam.

The Liberal Democrat leader gained a marginal lead from his Labour opponents.

The count for Sheffield Hallam was tight at the top.

Lib Dems count: 22,215

Labour: 19,862 

Conservative: 7544

Labour: 19,862

UKIP: 3575

Green: 1772 

Independent: 249

English Democrats: 167

Stop on the Fiasco: 97

However even though Clegg has held onto his seat, there have been calls from inside the Lib Dem party for his resignation, read more here.
