Former Labour Prime Minister, Tony Blair has taken to Twitter to back Ed Miliband in a final push to appeal to tomorrow’s voters.
Blair posted pictures of himself holding a pro-Labour party poster onto his Twitter profile earlier today, followed by a brief message to fellow users.
I hope you too will vote #Labour, we need a Labour Govt and Ed in No 10 for a better future for our country. TB pic.twitter.com/oBAnovhpKK

The post showed the continued support for the current Labour leader, who has insisted that he is “not countenancing defeat” throughout the closing stages of the campaign. A hopeful Ed Miliband has assured voters that he would go “right down to the wire” to ensure undecided voters that he is the best person to win the election during the last hours before polling begin.
Mr Miliband told BBC Radio 5 Live: “I’m focusing on winning the election.”
However, he has repeatedly refused to disclose any information about any forms of negotiations that may occur if faced with a hung parliament.
Deputy leader Harriet Harman insisted Labour was not involved in discussions with other parties about possible post-election pacts. She also defended Ed’s campaign choices, including his decision to do an interview with Russell Brand.
She told Sky News: “People can knock it if they want, I think they are wrong to knock the fact that he did an interview with… umm… whats his name… Russell Brand. I think it was really important he did that.
“People can knock it, but he is out there, putting out the message, whether it’s in discussion with Russell Brand or whether it’s on a tablet of stone or on a pledge card.”
Despite being mocked about the unveiling of an 8ft 6in stone carved the Labour party’s six main election commitments, dubbed the “Edstone”, he had openly admitted that he would “definitely claim the credit for it” but said somebody in the campaign had come up with the “great idea.”
He added: “I think the Ed … stone is absolutely the right thing do.”
