A debate organised by The Independent is to take place on Tuesday April 28 for Bournemouth University students and people from the local area.
The debate will be taking place at Talbot Heath School in Rothesay road.
The panelists are made up of journalists from The Independent who will be debating important topics a well as taking questions from the audience.
The aim of the debate is to shift the focus on to students and to let them have their say on what the want from their future MP’s.
The main topic to be debated will be the for and against argument for “Political chaos on May 8th would be good for British democracy”.
The debate will be chaired by Oliver Wright, I Whitehall Editor, and will feature the speakers, Jane Merrick, Political Editor for the Independent on Sunday and Simon O’Hagan, Editor of the Independent Voices section, who are both for the proposal.
Steve Richards, Chief political columnist for The Independent and Hannah Fearn, Social affairs journalist for The Independent, will be debating against the proposal.
The debate is expected to last for around an hour with a drinks recepetion afterwards.
This will be an opportunity to ask questions or interview the panellists personally.
The doors open at 5.30 for a 6.00 start.
